EVANGELICALS SAY ACLU IS TOP THREAT TO NATION’S SPRIRITUAL HEALTH IN CORAL RIDGE MINISTRIES SURVEY
FORT LAUDERDALE, FLA., (May 19th, 2008) – The American Civil Liberties Union was ranked the top threat to America’s spiritual wellbeing in an informal write-in survey of American evangelicals recently conducted by Coral Ridge Ministries,
a Christian media outreach.
More than 13,000 Christians across America responded to CRM’s 2008 Spiritual State of the Nation Survey, making their views known about the media, Islam, homosexuality, abortion, and a host of moral and cultural issues affecting the nation. The annual survey, distributed in January, assesses where pro-family Christians stand on a wide range of social, economic, and moral issues.more...

Coral Ridge Ministries Board Names Brian E. Fisher President and CEO
FORT LAUDERDALE, FLA., (October 9,2007)
— The Board of Coral Ridge Ministries has promoted Brian E. Fisher to serve as President and CEO of the media outreach founded by Dr. D. James Kennedy. Mr. Fisher came to Coral Ridge Ministries in 2006 to serve as Executive Vice President. His new position was made effective October 5, 2007.

Cardiac Arrest
Dr. D. James Kennedy, founder and senior pastor for 48 years of Coral
Ridge Presbyterian Church (CRPC) in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., passed away peacefully
in his sleep at approximately 2:15 a.m. at his home with his wife and daughter by
his bedside, following complications from a cardiac event last December. He was

James Kennedy as Senior Minister of Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church was announced today at the church’s Sunday morning worship service. The announcement follows a cardiac event suffered by Dr. Kennedy in December 2006 and his extended convalescence. D. James Kennedy Outreach Sends 33,000 Petitions Against “Hate Crimes” Legislation to Washington
FORT LAUDERDALE, FLA., (July 17, 2007)—Coral Ridge Ministries, the media outreach of D. James Kennedy, Ph.D., has collected more than 33,000 petitions in opposition to “hate crimes” legislation before Congress. The petitions are being delivered this week to President George W. Bush and to Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell.
The petitions ask President Bush to veto any “hate crimes” measure that reaches his desk and asks Sen. McConnell to build a coalition of senators to stop the legislation from ever reaching the President. more...

Hindu Prayer in U.S. Senate Breaks Faith With American Past
FORT LAUDERDALE, FLA., (July 17, 2007)—Coral Ridge Ministries announced today that it greatly regrets the decision by the U.S. Senate to allow a Hindu chaplain to open the Senate in prayer on July 12.
The Hindu prayer, reportedly the first such prayer in Senate history, departs from the American Christian tradition and showcases a religion which persecutes Christians and has subjected its lowest caste members, the Dalits, to grinding poverty and hopelessness for 3,000 years.

On behalf of Dr. Kennedy and the Board of Coral Ridge Ministries, I want to express our heartfelt condolences to the family of Jerry Falwell who died today at age 73. Our prayers are with his wife and his children, as well as those mourning his death at the institutions he led, Thomas Road Baptist Church and Liberty University.

Evangelicals Trust Bush, Support Marriage, Oppose Roe, and
Favor Clergy Free Speech
Two informal surveys of evangelical Christians reveal
strong support for President Bush, a federal marriage
amendment, legal protection for unborn children, and free
speech for pastors. The Spiritual State of the Nation
survey, answered in early 2006, turned up surprising
confidence in President Bush. Some 76 percent of the 22,000
people who responded to the survey said they had confidence
in the President. Clustered at the bottom of the trust scale
were the media (1 percent), local public school officials
(12 percent), and congressional representatives and local
government officials (both 13 percent). more...

Brian Fisher as Executive Vice President. Fisher succeeds
Tom Rogeberg, who resigned in January. Charles “Chuck”
Burge, who has served as Interim Executive Vice President,
