diet of steamy sex and brutal
violence. Out in cyberspace, the

I sometimes travel to China
for my work. On one trip, I was
traveling in a van with several
folks with our company. A young
Chinese lady told me that she
was Christian. I asked her how
she became a Christian, and she
said that she read a book (Beginning
Again) by D. James Kennedy!

mailed to religion writers at
daily newspapers and producers
at major national TV news

Florida Senate Fails to Act for
Terri Schiavo

for Terri Schiavo’s life. The

Capitol in Tallahassee was much

persistent Americans filled the
hallways, announcing their
request by poster or diligently
walking door to door, begging
Florida senators to reconsider
and save the life of Terri

Recently, Dr. Kennedy and I
joined a broad coalition of
Christian and conservative
leaders to ask for a revision of
Senate rules to ensure judicial
nominees are given an up-or-down
confirmation vote. We asked
Senate Majority Leader Bill
Frist and others to “end the
judicial filibusters at the
earliest possible moment and
well before a Supreme Court
vacancy should occur.”

Friends of Coral Ridge
Ministries joined Dr. Kennedy in
March to urge the U.S. Senate to
return to majority rule in the
confirmation of judicial
nominations. Coral Ridge
Ministries delivered more than
30,000 signed petitions to
Senate Majority Leader Bill
Frist in support of a Senate
rules change to prevent a
minority of senators from
blocking President Bush’s
pro-life judicial nominations.

Day of Prayer, and we as a
nation are very much standing in
the need of prayer. We were
forced in March to watch, along
with much of the world, while an
innocent woman was slowly killed
over 13 days. This terrible saga
showed just how far we as a
nation have come since 1973,
when our High Court ruled that
the lives of unborn children may
be taken at the whim of a mother
and her doctor.
