Dear
Dr. Kennedy
My granddaughter, a high
school sophomore, had to give a
speech about abortion, which she
is very much against. The school
web sites didn’t give much
information so she came to my
computer and got on your web
site. She cried as she found out
more than the other sites wanted
you to know. more... |

Mike McIntyre: Called to Serve
In 1973, Mike McIntyre was a
rising high school senior.
Today, he serves his fifth term
in Congress. The path to
government leadership didn’t
happen by accident. Looking
back, McIntyre, the Center’s
2006 Distinguished Christian
Statesman, recognizes it was all
part of a divine plan—a calling
to serve.

George Washington: Deist or
Christian?
George Washington has been
described by recent authors as
“a lukewarm Episcopalian,” a
“warm Deist,” “not a deeply
religious man,” “not
particularly ardent in his
faith,” “one who avoided, as was
the Deist custom, the word
‘God.’”

Did Washington Pray at Valley
Forge?
When Washington was at
Valley Forge, during the brutal
winter of 1777-1778, it was
alleged that he was overheard in
prayer by a Tory sympathizer
named Isaac Potts. This man
supposedly came across the
General in prayer in the woods
and then declared to his wife,
“Our cause is lost.”

Reclaiming
America
It is time to remind
ourselves of our chief civic
duty: to vote. Some have
projected low voter turnout this
year, due to frustration over
the nation’s direction. As
Christians, we have very good
reasons not to stay home
when the opportunity comes to
vote.

A Tale of Two Revolutions
It was the best of times. It
was the worst of times. The
American Revolution produced a
new nation with elected
representative government—and
citizens more free than ever
before in human history. Across
the pond, the French Revolution
erupted in 1789 and produced a
reign of terror.

Truths That Transform

The Biblical Basis for Our Constitution (Part 2)
