April 13-15, nationwide.
Award-winning Jesus Special
Returns to Television at Easter
More than 12 million people watched last Christmas as Coral Ridge Ministries presented Who Is This Jesus, a powerful television documentary probing the reliability of New Testament claims for the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
The program, winner of a Silver Angel award, aired in the wake of ABC’s strikingly slanted Search for Jesus, a two-hour Peter Jennings-hosted program top-heavy with skeptics who dismissed much of the Gospel record. Floored that fringe theories were treated as confirmed fact, Dr. Kennedy determined to offer an answer—and to do so by Christmas.

More on Resurrection

Now that answer—bolstered by fresh material on the Resurrection—will re-air to the nation on Easter weekend, both on primetime and during The Coral Ridge Hour. The program will also air across the Middle East on satellite television, in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and on Armed Forces Television in 145 nations.
“It is my hope and prayer,” Dr. Kennedy said, “that a huge domestic and international audience will watch this very timely program during Easter.”
The Easter edition, Who Is This Jesus: Is He Risen?, devotes twice the time spent in the Christmas airing to a consideration of arguments for and against the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
The arguments for the Resurrection need to be heard—even by Christians. A 2000 Barna Research survey found that 40 percent of Americans agree either strongly (29 percent) or somewhat (11 percent) that Jesus did not rise from the dead. More astonishing,

the Barna survey found that 30 percent of born-again adults—those that said they had confessed their sins and accepted Christ as their Savior—did not believe in the physical resurrection of Jesus Christ!
Who Is This Jesus: Is He Risen? considers theories offered to dispute the Resurrection, including claims that Christ “swooned,” but never died on the cross, and that His resurrection was “spiritual,” not physical.
None stand up under scrutiny, as experts such as Josh McDowell make clear. “The shallowness of the critics speaks louder than the voice of the believer,” states McDowell, a leading Christian apologist. “They can’t come up with anything solid that refutes it.”

Solid Evidence
But while attempts to disprove the Resurrection are readily dismissed, the evidence that Christ walked bodily out of the tomb is not. That evidence includes the eyewitnesses who saw and touched the risen Christ, the empty tomb, and the transformed lives of his followers, many of whom were willing to die for their faith
“He was dead, but He walked out of the tomb, and the world has never been the same,” declares Dr. Kennedy.
