Dear Dr. Kennedy... |
I’ve watched your
weekly broadcast for about the last five years and
credit you as being God’s instrument in saving both my
wife and me. God bless you for this, there are no words
I could use here that would adequately express our
gratitude.

I have listened
for years to your radio program on KILA Las Vegas. I
love it and love you, but was not active in support
until God gave me a big nudge today. I’ll do better from
now on. Keep me on your prayer list. I believe that God
is calling and raising up people to get involved in the
reclamation of America because he is calling America
back to righteousness, and commitment to Christian
values.

I listen to your TV service every Sunday as I clean
motel rooms and have learned to love your show. I have
been troubled for some time now as I watch the ACLU and
others try to take references to Christ out of our
national and local symbols. Your recent message hit that
subject straight on. Please keep preaching God’s word
the way He wants it preached.

As a Jew I view very few religious broadcasts, but by
chance I was watching this morning, July 4th. I was very
impressed with your well researched, composed, and
presented sermon on the truth of our history.

Poll Finds Support for Marriage |
An
overwhelming 94 percent of those answering a recent Coral
Ridge Ministries survey support passage of a federal
marriage amendment to limit marriage to a man and a woman.
The “National Morality Poll,” answered in July by more than
24,000 people, found that 99 percent of respondents think
that same-sex marriage will hurt the institution of the
family and American society as a whole. Some 97 percent are
opposed to giving homosexual couples “the same rights as
heterosexual couples.”
“These poll results,” Dr. Kennedy said, “highlight the
good common sense of pro-family men and women who recognize
that marriage is not malleable; that when we seek to remake
it, we break it—an outcome already observed in the nations
of Denmark, Norway, and Sweden.”
Results
to Washington
Complete results from the 18-question survey were sent in
August to federal officials and the national media. The
informal poll is designed to offer Washington policymakers
and journalists a rough gauge of pro-family evangelical
opinion on key moral issues.
“Although, not a scientific poll,” Dr. Kennedy wrote
members of Congress, Supreme Court justices, and President
Bush, “the National Morality Poll calls the attention of
elected officials and influential media to the
|
concerns and opinions
of Christian conservatives. I hope you will bear their views
in mind in your public policy deliberations.”
The National Morality Poll also found that responders:
• Support the ban on partial-birth abortion (95
percent).
• Believe girls under 18 should obtain parental
consent before an abortion (96 percent).
• Want evolution taught “as a theory rather than a
fact” (73 percent).
• Believe pastors should be free to “address social
and moral issues, including their political implications,
without jeopardizing the tax-exempt status of the church”
(97 percent).
• View the ACLU as a “threat to America” (100
percent).
• Do not agree that the “national media report
Christian, moral, and religious issues in an unbiased
manner” (86 percent).
Gratitude
We are grateful for the involvement of so many ministry
friends in sending this pro-family message to public
officials and journalists.
