JERRY NEWCOMBE has a B.A. in history from Tulane University (cum laude) and an M.A. in communications from Wheaton Graduate School (summa cum laude). He is finishing up his doctorate (d.min., 2008, Lord-willing) at Knox Theological Seminary (D. James Kennedy, founder). He currently serves as the host and senior TV producer for Dr. Kennedy's nationwide television program, The Coral Ridge Hour.
Jerry has produced or co-produced more than fifty documentaries for Coral Ridge Ministries, several of which are among the ministries’ most successful programs, including one that won a Silver Medal (the highest in its category for that year) from the International New York Film and Television Festival.
Jerry hosts two weekly radio talk shows in Ft Lauderdale. Between his radio and TV work, he has conducted thousands of broadcast interviews.
Jerry Newcombe is the co-author of thirteen books with Dr. D. James Kennedy, including What If Jesus Had Never Been Born? (a bestseller); What If The Bible Had Never Been Written?; What If America Were a Christian Nation Again?; Lord of All; and Cross Purposes.
Jerry also co-wrote (with David Gibbs II, Christian Law Association), One Nation Under God: Ten Things Every Christian Should Know About the Founding of America, and with Dr. Peter Lillback (president of Westminster Theological Seminary, Philadelphia), Jerry co-wrote George Washington's Sacred Fire, a book documenting beyond a reasonable doubt the Christian faith of our first president. Jerry is the author/editor of The Moral of the Story: Timeless Tales to Cherish & Share. He has co-written two books with his wife, Kirsti: I’ll Do It Tomorrow (featuring more than 80 cartoons from Johnny Hart’s B.C.) and A Way of Escape: Experiencing God’s Victory Over Temptation. He also wrote Coming Again (a book which contrasts and clarifies the multitude of opinions on the Second Coming).
As an author, Jerry has been a guest on several local and national radio and television programs Jerry is happily married to Kirsti Saebo Newcombe. They were married in Norway June 1980 in a bilingual service, saying “Ja, I do.” They have a daughter and a son.
