Coral Ridge Ministries Board Names
New Executive Vice President
Fort
Lauderdale (September 20, 2006)—After a six-month search, the Board
of Directors of Coral Ridge Ministries announced in August the selection
of Brian Fisher as Executive Vice President. Fisher succeeds Tom
Rogeberg, who resigned in January. Charles “Chuck” Burge, who has served
as Interim Executive Vice President, will assist Mr. Fisher as he
assumes his new duties.
Fisher, 33, brings a broad and varied background to Coral Ridge
Ministries. Trained in classical piano at Westminster College, where he
graduated magna cum laude, he has worked in Christian radio, both
as an on-air personality and in management, sales, and production.
He also served for six years as the number two man in a start-up
financial services firm that grew during that time from zero to $1.1
billion in assets. Fisher launched the firm’s brokerage, insurance,
asset management, and multimedia design arms during his tenure. He is a
fully licensed financial professional and is a Certified Financial
Planner®.
“When I look at Coral Ridge Ministries, I see a tremendous amount of
yet-to-be-tapped potential in every area,” said Fisher, who moved from
Pittsburgh to Fort Lauderdale with his wife, Jessica, and two young
sons, Caleb and Zachary, to take the position.
In a statement released on behalf of Dr. Kennedy and the board of Coral
Ridge Ministries, board secretary Gladys Israels expressed their
confidence in Brian. “Several things about Brian impressed the Search
Committee and the Board,” she stated. “First, his personal integrity and
commitment to Christ, which were demonstrated during the hiring process.
We were impressed, too, by his direct communication and
clearly-thought-through leadership style.”
For his part, Fisher is both excited to serve and confident about God’s
purposes for Coral Ridge Ministries. “I get the sense that Coral Ridge
Ministries has under its hood the people, the talent, the resources, the
skills, and the worldwide exposure necessary to build on a strong and
solid ministry foundation.”
Coral Ridge Ministries, Fisher said, has a “tremendous amount of
potential in every area. We are going to see some wonderful growth over
the next five-to-ten years.”
